Default Rear seat not folding.

Hi all.

I won't have access to VIDA for few days (working away from home), and I wonder can I tackle this:

The latch that is holding the seat up doesn't work as it should.

I'm talking about the upright part of the seat: the slider that releases the latch does slide, but without much effort on my part, and doesn't release the latch. Obviously it is disengaged from the latch.
Because of that, I can't fold the seat down.

Is there any way to get to that mechanism with seat upright?

This video shows you how to sort it:

I had this issue with both of my seats.
On one of them I could remove the plastic cover and glue the broken plastic that pushes the seat release mechanism on that cover.
This wasn’t possible on the other side so I went to a scrap yard to find a replacement one.
If you have any issues just post up in the thread again.

Great post, I can now get both seats down and up. The black plastic lever has broken as has the complete cover. Going to see if i can get a replacement latch and plastic seat cover to make it look better.

Does anyone have a plastic cover knocking about or knows the part number. Also, is the latch difficult to replace ?
Thanks

Parts catalogue in Vida for the number if you can't see it printed on the part itself and the Removal and Replacement section of Vida in the Information tab will hopefully show the replacement procedure.

No problem. I have the broken cover parts (hopefully) and I'm going to TRY and piece it back together. If you are able to look up the part number I'd appreciate it but will keep looking .
Are you aware if the complete latch unit is difficult to replace as I've seen one on ebay. Thank you
