I can't find a Bosch one anywhere Dave and seeing that Volvo main dealers are allegedly charging £50 plus for them I thought I'd opt for this seller's Cambiare one at £16. There is a seller has Cambiare ones for a tenner but he has really bad feedback, seriously bad. If the codes are still the same after resetting I will double check the price with Volvos though before I order this Ebay one:

PS I always have the bonnet open vertically!

Last time i checked Volvo wanted over £50 Ellie, that was about a year ago. I can't imagine them dropping the price that dramatically although stranger things have happened!

If you scroll down the listing for that sensor, it gives the cross-reference part numbers so you could ring round a few local motor factors to see their prices and availability.

Reference OE/OEM Number: Cambiare: VE375050, Blue Print: NA, Bosch: 0280130032, Delphi: NA, Denso: NA, Intermotor: 55455, Pierburg: NA, Fuel Parts: WS1028

Many independent factors carry Intermotor and Cambiare, you might find the price is either better than the ebay one or the fact that it's in stock locally might be worth paying another quid or three for it.

Just checked on Intermotor website, spanner size is 19mm and loads of other cars use them :

Oops! That hasn't come out how i expected! The numbers were meant to line up alongside the names, D'oh! Anyway, you can see a lot of manufactuers have used the same sensor so there's a good chance it's in stock somewhere locally.

I confirm :
224 is the CTS on 95+ 940 series with OBD in the middle arm rest.
If you got the same fault at the EZK and the ECU the CTS will be the fault. The CTS is two separate sensors in one housing.
Never ever use anything else than Bosch. Take care it won't be a pirate product.
I did test nearby every brand on the market. They won't give the same numbers as Bosch.
Even Bosch will change the result at age.
This sensor will need a good ground.
New washer and no sealant please!
Take care of the plug too.

I did think about the wiggling and will do later.
Is the car with cruise control?

Good luck, and hopefully you will survive the gun-country full of hate, Kay

I tried Euro Car Parts website for the Bosch one, no joy. So I just rang them up and gave them the part number which they said equates to their part number 224660210 which he said is a still a Bosch one but I can only order from the website to get home delivery otherwise I would have to collect from Reading next week if they order it, which I can't as I am at work. So I went on their website and enered that number and it brings up this, which is a bit confusing as it doesn't say it's a Bosch, it says it is a MTE Thomson Temperature Sensor (Coolant Sensors/Temp Switches)

The intermotor one is £9.98 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intermotor-.../dp/B009PK6UA0

Interesting.

Bosch say the 0280130032 has been replaced by 0280130069

https://www.bosch-automotive-catalog...032?country=CO

Some websites give the 069 as the replacement of the 032 but some sites say the 069 will not fit my Volvo

Opie Oils are selling the 069 Bosch for only £22.90 on Ebay and they cross reference it with the -032 but they say it won't fit my car! So they say it will and they say it won't! I am going to email them!

Volvo list the 069 in their 7/9xx Data Pocket Ellie so rest assured it will fit and perform as per OE specs.. I'm a bit busy at the moment but i did see it in there when i researched them but i'll try and find it later. Meanwhile you can either order the one from Opie Oils or the Intermotor one from Amazon, personally i think i'd pay the extra for the Bosch as even with what i said earlier, there have been so many people who have had bad/poor experiences with aftermarket that Bosch does seem to be the only option in this case.

Cheers Dave. The Bosch -069 one is readily available on the net for twenty odd quid on many sites so people don't have to pay fifty odd quid through Volvos!

I've bought the Bosch one for £22.52 from an Ebay seller with 100% pos feedback who is a Bosch authorised seller. There were cheaper Bosch ones from sellers with poor feedback. Now to get through to next Thursday or so with this starting difficulty!
