Not me Dave

The owner had someone out who adjusted the screw and cleaned the throttle body. Not sure what else but it is at least running and idling albeit pretty badly. It does mean it can be driven away though. Said he had it running smoother at one point

I'll have to have a long hard think about what to do though as my other 940 turned up today and I've got a few other things going on in the family so could be a bit much for me

You can still hear the "chuff - chuff - chuff" of the leaky inlet manifold leak Mark - my guess is still fit a new inlet manifold gasket, tweak the throttle cable, base idle screw and idle bypass screw and it should run pretty sweetly. Might even get away with just tightening the inlet manifold on/around #1 pot, loosen them a little then retighten the nuts but go a little further along in case it's not as flat as it should be.

I reckon even if you bought it and just did a bit here and there, come spring you could put a new MoT on it and it would sell for a decent price to an enthusiast who wants a good base to do a rolling resto. That way you could fit it around your other committments - best of all worlds!
