I’ve seen a diagram on another website, it’s the pipe from the Intercooler to the inlet manifold, looking at the photos online it does seem like it comes in a couple of parts but there are upgraded ones which look like an all in one unit from what I’ve seen

I have no idea except, simple thoughts first. Did someone forget to properly tighten the hose clip? Di the hose clip fail?

It was good to fit a new hose. And as that was in poor condition, good to fit all new hoses including heater hoses , while the coolant has to be replaced? Are all the hose clips in good order?

Hoses are far easier to change if one uses a little Castrol red "grease", not petroleum based to will not damage the rubber hose. There is a reason why Durex do NOT recommend Vaseline.

The hose did seem loose, I’ve tightened them now, the hoses don’t look terrible but I will prioritise replacing them as they definitely aren’t new. I have been looking online for some upgrades hoses but I am struggling. I’ve seen IPD but they seem US based, any ideas of suppliers in the UK for this kind of thing?

I won't understand, sorry.
From intercooler to throttle housing are :
A elbow made of rubber
A pipe made of steel
A elbow made of rubber

I can't see anything cracked or wrong.

A 940 with cruise control, a real plus.

Good luck, check the coolant system for overpressure like the other here did mentioned, Kay

I looked into this a few years ago for another forum member and there was nobody in the UK that made silicon upgrade hose sets for the 940 turbo, some hoses were availoable but not all.

If IPD sell a full set, firstly make sure it's compatible with RHD cars - heater hoses come to mind as probably being too short if they're for LHD cars.

You might be better off buying what you can and then buying some 16mm heater hose in a single length and then making your own heater hoses up.
