So what is definitive fix, need to clarify with Caffyns or FRF?

my stretch belt set up squeeled, the OP stretch belt set up squeeled. Your stretch belt set up squeels. There have been two redesigns from what I can find and I have the newest one fitted. Runs silent. Make of that what you will

Thanks again for your help. Yes looks right to me.

Not sure what to do with the dealer, they are happy to have it in and I am covered but I have to be sure I can communicate the problem correctly.

If they replaced the belt and tensioner I would want to make sure it was the right part and need to communicate this to them. But I am not convinced it is the tensioner and belt on my car. I suspect the idler pully wheel (and or as well as belt and tensioner)

Did they change your top wheel as well (idler pully), because on my car it sounds like the chirping is coming directly from this!

like this fella (mine sounds exactly same chirping on cold start)

Thats quite poor advice, from what I gathered it is generally accepted only a temporary fix and can gunk up your belt too. A properly running serpentine belt should not make noise (and should not require lubrication), hot or cold engine.

mine sounded exactly like that when cold in morning. I'm pretty sure the noise is the belt slipping slightly where the belt's are perishing. The pulley wheel also had play on mine, hence I bought the whole kit. If your tensioner is still good, you could just change the belts. quite a bit cheaper than thrle full kit. but same labour charge.
