Default I C M unit

Hi
Driving xc90 the other day and the radio screen froze no Cd or radio plus Sat Nav and Phone Bluetooth and parking sensors failed i drove home ok no other issues
When i got home i plugged it to VIDA it showed loss connection with ICM whilst fault checking I got LOW BATTERY on dash board the it blipped on VIDA and all went green I turned ignition off and checked battery with multi meter and it showed 11-3 volts tried to start car nothing put my boost charger on and very high current showing so removed battery
Replacement Bosch 95 amp hour battery fitted today checked all systems out all running ok again 12-7 in new battery charging at 14 volt when running
I suspect a cell must have gone down on battery but i cannot understand why the car ran home ok when battery was on its way out I have read alot of problems with ICM units mine is a 2012 XC 90 Se Lux 107000 on clock

When a car is running the alternator is the primary electrical source, and will hold the voltage up at nominal 14V

When you stop, and if a battery cell had died, then the car will be difficult or impossible to start, and all electrical systems may start to go into auto shut down mode to preserve battery power (seen Apollo 13?)

The audio system is the first system to shut down due to low battery voltage.

I suggest you may have found the problem: battery.
Keep driving the car and keep monitoring it

PS: make sure you have reset the low battery voltage counters in VIDA, as these alert you to when a battery is getting weak.
