Volvo 240 Torslanda K465 KPW - 1993

MOT Expires 4 October 2017

195,576 genuine miles - this will go up by 40 miles daily.

Car is in fantastic condition, has been a daily driver for last few years so always maintained and serviced. Has been really reliable but I’ve just inherited a newer car and can’t afford to keep both, so sadly the ever dependable brick is up for sale.

Good service record - dealer stamps for early life then loads of MOTs and receipts more recently, cambelt sevice 25K miles ago.

Mechanically works as it should, 2.0L redblock engine, regular 6-8K oil changes for last few years (one due soon).

5 Excellent Virgo Alloys with nearly new tyres (recently refurbished and powder coated wheels so like new). Spare has a sidewall puncture so will need a new tyre.

Bodywork is perfectly straight, good clean lines and door fitting. A couple of rust spots (lower n/s rear passenger door and left of tailgate) - but these are just surface and repairable. Car has been reversed into something at some point as there is a dent on left tailgate pillar - see picture. Also a bit of the black vinyl is peeled away around the o/s rear passenger door (see picture)

All windows and trims are original. Windscreen has a stonechip, an advisory on MOT but not a fail.

New headlamp reflectors and rear light clusters.

All back door electrics work (lights, wiper, washer, lock).

Car has retro-fitted central locking.

Stereo is a Volvo branded CR-905 from a 740 and also has upgraded 50w amplifier and new JPW speakers. Also includes direct iPod connection via CD changer socket - great soundng system.

5 Scorpius alloy wheels are also included, 4 of them with Fulda Monterro 2 winter tyres fitted (probably OK for another winter).

Original 240 dog guard and boot liner.

Towbar and 7-pin plug.

Heater blower fan is not working (suspected motor failure), door pockets are cracked, there are some small patches of the bonnet and roof paintwork where the lacquer has peeled.

£1500 ono can be viewed in Huddersfield HD7 (Day) or Glossop SK13 (Eves + W'ends)

Winter alloys have now been sold along with Boot Liner so price now reduced to £1200. Cheers.

This has now sold - thanks to all of you that expressed an interest - gone to a young driver to take it into the next 25 years of it's life.
