Default Fan Blower

I need to purchase a fan BLOWER for my volvo s40 1.9. td. My question is, is there a difference between a blower for petrol cars and a blower for diesel cars or is there only one type that fits all? I ask because when i go to look some up on say ebay they all claim to be for petrol cars but none say that they are for diesel. So im wondering does it matter?

the electrickery behind the dash i would imagine should be the same appart from climate control and normal ambient control

what year is the car, what does the front (dash section) look like? as far as i know there are just 3 types of fan control consoles.

did you buy the car with one?

why are you replacing would probably be a more appropriate question here

As far as I know they are all the same. I will check later on tonight when I get in, to make sure, as I have a spare 1.9D that I am breaking. What makes you think that your blower is not working? What are the symptoms?

He means the heater blower motor, not the heater resistor. As far as I know, the only way to get the fan blower out is by removing the dashboard and that is a few hours work at least.
