I think the general Advise is use the genuine volvo ones,

This being said, however, I'm Using the Denso-R Iradium Race grade plugs:

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-4223-den...lug-vk20y.aspx

Not cheap but i have always been a big fan of the denso stuff and always try to find a set for every car i own (made a big difference to the performance of my old ford )

Edit: Could always get some champion 701's and save about £5 a plug? ROFLMAO!

Seriously anyone else reading this.... Keep away from those champion ones, they are awful.

There's detailed Tech specs in a pdf on that page... Compare that to some of the other "Volvo Compatibles" and the genuine volvo ones to see if they'd suit you.

They're really popular plugs with the Scooby / Evo / Tuner types and Very very popular with the Jap OEM's

I used to use NGK Iridium IXs in my car and they performed brilliantly. I was put of the Densos after hearing about tips falling of them although that was a few years ago.

Yeah... The turbo by the sounds of it.

A rich running engine often runs a little cooler, as it's over-fuelling, If it's running lean, or getting too much air it'll burn hotter..... Enough to melt a plug maybe?

Go on rich... What boost were you running? :P lol

Mmmeeee lol.Ive had the plugs out and they are in good nick bar 1 plug.It was enough to leave a seat cupra r,an evo8,and run in 3 figures with a cossie.I dont no what stage the cossie was though it was quick. The tip has fell off i think but you can see where the plug has melted though.Ive got to take the head off for inspection. Its all good though upgrades will be on way very soon.Ive done a compression test and im down on cylinder 2 in which the spark plug failed lol.Im not mad in any way in fact im very happy by the way it performed.
