Hi all, ive just bought myself, my first ever Volvo................a 2.0lpt sport lux. Ive come in from the dark side having owned only pre 1996 Vauxhall`s. Im not a fan of the newer Vauxhall`s and so opted for a nice local s40 of 2003 vintage that was for sale locally.
With 98,000 it would seem its just run in. Cam belt is due for a change, as last one was done in 2008 at 52,000. Engine management light came on, on my drive but hasn't gone into limp mode.
So a jolly good service, a good detailing session and a few mods should see it back in tip top shape. Will certainly need to pick a few peeps brains on bits along the way and this place would seem to be ideal. Must say I was impressed with the way it drove.

Could I ask where you bought it from? I'm curious as I've seen that car before somewhere, the registration plate is familiar (MYO - Mayonnaise)

My mind works in funny ways and I always remember reg plates because I have a tendency to make them into words, but not necessarily where I know them from. Could just be because I have family near Melton Mowbray and someone local to them owned it.

ta for the welcomes peeps.
Cant wait to get into warmer weather, so I can give it a jolly good detailing lol. I fancy some chrome external door handles but other then that very happy with the styling of the car and don't plan to change anything else.
It`s been poly bushed on the front and a stainless rear system has been fitted, other then that all seems standard
