Well I am 99% sure that my problem is resolved.

I swapped out the FR sensor this morning. while changing it I went to town with a Dremel wire brush on the mating surface. "to be sure to be sure":-)

All built up and Vida connected and I was a little concerned to see a flashing ABS light, again this only showed when I erased the dtc's. anyway went for a drive hoping it would self clear but it was not to be however there was NO reoccurrence of the pulsing pedal.

Back home I activated the ABS pump thru Vida and the flashing light immediately went out. Another longer test drive with a variety of turns, manoeuvres and emergency stops could not bring on the ABS light or the pulsing pedal.

The only thing I'm not certain of is if it was the sensor or the extra cleaning with the Dremel that did the trick.

Thanks to all who replied to my call for help and especially pff for pointing me in the direction of the solution as I really was starting to clutch at straws with the Module soldering.
