Default XC90 T8 Electric Drive Problems Glitch

Hello...

anyone else having/had an issue when on electric drive, with the temperory loss of motive power ? its pulses, you loose 5/10mph then it comes back on or engine cuts in ?

It happens at low speed/high torque so starting off from start or going slow up a hill.

Dealer says it may need a new rear axle.... warranty here we come !!

No issues to date with mine. How old is the car and does it do it in all driver modes e.g. Pure?

A few on here, myself included have highlighted what feels like a loss of power when you really put your foot down and the hybrid system switches from electric to the ICE. More notable when trying to nip out of a junction - feels like nothing is happening for a second or two then, whoosh, you're away.

Never experienced a loss of power that causes me to lose speed though, only that there's a delay in acceleration.

Hopefully it's just a software/calibration issue affecting the synchronisation of the two drive chains.

I have a T6 at the moment and there is always a bit of hesitation, even though it has Polestar. You expect lag with a turbo but not with a supercharger so maybe the combination doesn't work too well. My previous car was a Jaguar XKR which was supercharged and it pulled away with no lag or hesitation at all.

Update on this, defo an issue, basically there is a electric clutch in front of the electric motor on the rear axle, it is guffed.... parts on order.

Dealer used EC? acronym, clearly a known issue as theyve done one before, and much documentation from volvo on it. Hybrid technician said it a hell of a job, 7 hours on book, more like 10/11 hours minimum....

At least its being sorted....

Anyone seen anything on this on this or other forums ?

Several ERAD failures reported on ‘the American site’ and a
Handful on here. Electric drive / motor / axle / clutch thingy I believe!
