Question rear wiper & wash not working

Hi, I have a 1998 v70. Had some rain yesterday so thought I would use rear wipe and washer. Not been used for about a year. Neither worked and I couldn't hear any noise from the rear motor. I need to check the fuse for the wiper motor but don't know if there is a separate fuse for the washer. would appreciate advice please. thanks jack.

According to Haynes fuse 33 which is a 15 amp controls headlight levelling and rear wash/wipe.Fuse 34[25 amp]is for windscreen wash/wipe and horn.Another area to check could be the wiring at the tailgate hinge area.HTH

Hi Dippydog, Many thanks for that. I read some where that there is a bank of fuses in the boot area. Would you know whether this applies to the mk 1. I really must get a Haynes. thanks jack.

I've not seen a fuse box in the boot of my V70-possibly they were fitted to later versions?-the only dealings I've had fuse wise on mine have been confined to the main box just ahead of the windscreen on the drivers side[rhd] although again quoting Haynes "There are additional fuses located in a fuse and relay boxbehind the left hand suspension strut mounting".There are also a couple mounted above the radiator which are for the fan.
