Avoiding automated park screen coming on

I have a problem in that the automated park screen (see image) and associated beeping comes on in my 2017 model year XC90 when moving slowly alongside hedges, walls etc. Is there a way to permanently prevent this without inactivating the front and rear parking sensors? I don't use the automated park facility but I do rely on the front and rear parking sensors.

Nope, in a word.

My bugbear is that you can’t then easily get rid of that screen to activate the 360 cameras as it keeps jumping back up whenever a sensor detects something.

If you have 360, then activating it first does prevent the screen you dislike popping up - but it’s not a permanent work around.
