Default Blower problems

I've just bought a late 2005 V50 and stupidly didn't realise the blowers don't work. It seems like it's stuck on the 1st setting with only a faint trickle of air coming through the vents. I can hear all the vents motoring over when I select different settings so don't think it's a blockage and the air does change temperature. It's just the blowers don't work.

Has anyone got any idea's

It probably requires a new heater fan unit which includes the speed controller ...

I just bought the motor for a 2008 V50 from Volvo.

Can't remember the exact price but I paid £340 for the motor and a tailgate washer jet.

Did manage to get a small trade discount as he initially said it was £340 odd + vat.

I think it was about £325 or so.

A nightmare job to replace aswell.

Hope it is easier and the part is cheaper on your one.

Absolute nightmare not having a working fan!
