FM Transmitter
I have a 2006 V50 with the Basic sound system, with the amp incorporated in the headunit.
Having read at length all the posts about soldering aux/creating circuits/unresolved questions to whether expensive aftermarket kit works etc, and not able to purchase the iPod kit as my car is pre-2008, I have (for now) opted for an FM transmitter. Anyway, I hate clutter and cables etc so decided to plug the power of my "Belkin TuneCast Auto Universal" into the 12v socket behind the armrest console, and mount the transmitter inside the armrest lid, so that when not use is, all wires are tucked away, and when in use I simply open the lid, scan for the strongest frequency to broadcast over, plug in my MP3 and tune the radio. Just mounted with double sided 1mm adhesive pad, cut down to size! Simple yet affective solution, albeit not of the best quality due to it being FM for the time being, to allow me to play my CHOONS in the car
