Default Defective CEM/CDM message on vida

Hi,

I am trying to read the fault codes using vida/dice, however vida is not reading anything from the car.

I used it last weekend to clear a fault, so i could see if it would came back and then i could read the latest code. The red warning reappeared two days later, but now it will not recognise the car in vida and i get the disconnected message in right display box, where battery voltage is. All lights are funtioning on dice unit and vida is also recognising it.

The message is- Not possible to read out information from the vehicle. No response from vehicle. Possible causes are ignition not on, vehicle is older model year 1999, defective CEM/CDM.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You need a power supply connected to the battery to keep it up to 14v ...whilst using VIDA
