Default Braided brake hoses - where to buy?

My 13 year old factory hoses must have too much flex in them by now and remembering the benefit of braided lines on a previous car got me thinking about changing them on the Volvo.

Had a brief look on line but thought I'd draw on members experiences, any advice very welcome, thanks.

https://www.goodridge.co.uk/
Goodridge have been around for some time supplying the classic car industry so the above link may be of use- plenty of others in the similar supply chain:~

I tend to use a hydraulics supplier (Parkers are good) but you should be able to find one locally – they tend to be very competitive & some will make them up as you wait.
Good Luck
Bob.

Got mine from Black Diamond. Price was better than other ones I checked back then. Improved brake feeling, well worth it.

These are an option -

I'm on the fence to the necessity of them to be honest.

Thanks for the suggestions, the brakes have a sort of dead zone where I assume some of the effort is going into expanding the hoses, not a great feel really.

Those HEL ones are £79.00 for a set of 4, that's pretty good. Couldn't locate the black diamond ones Lizard, how much did you pay?

You mean the website does not open for you?
I got the DHK661 part number and paid around 65euros if I recall correctly. It was defo cheaper than HEL brand that I also checked.

Yobbo - fair enough, I cant compare new Volvo ones to new braided ones as mine were 10 years old so obviously changing them to new ones made a difference, but I tend to agree that it makes a difference in pedal feel because of the design. Improved a lot in my case, anyway.

I got Goodridge braided lines off eBay, due to being a few quid cheaper and I think without a lead time (they're made to order) directly from their website.

They work perfectly well but HEL etc were a bit cheaper so if I ever fit them to another car I'd give HEL / Black Diamond a try.

I fitted HEL to my old T5. I was very pleased with the result.
