I'll go along with Chris, Joe - a quality recore from a rad repairer will cost a lot less than a half decent unit from the bay (or anywhere else).

Recently sent the rad from my 3 door for a "refresh" - rebuild my original end tanks and a top quality core was around the £100 mark (from a firm in Ipswich that has been in the same "garden sheds" for 50yrs). Superb job.

Unless you are very lucky even a "get-you-home sell the car tinfoil" rad will rush you more than that.

You must have rad reconditioner in your area - if you can't find one have a word with a local garage or inde dealer (main and glossy chrome dealers won't even think of repair so won't know)

Sorry to hear you're still not 100% Mollusk. Thanks for the reply. As it happened a new one popped up on fleabay for £85 so I plumped for that.

Thanks anyway
