Default Active bending headlights

Hi Forum,
I have now got the XC70 and some will be glad I am no longer going to lower it as I am enjoying the commanding driving position. ;-)
I noticed that when I turn on the ignition the ABL light comes on the goes off as it should do, but I cannot find the ABL menu in the car settings.
Does this mean I have it and it is not switchable (don't want to anyway) or does it mean I don't have it?

The car is a 2.0D 5cyl 163 bhp D3 model and has an ok spec, no sat nav or dab but at least I can stream my music. It has city safe fitted, is this an option or standard?

The car has a couple of problems that are going to be getting looked at by the dealer I bought it from, the steering makes a loadish clicking noise lock to lock, the nsf suspension is noisy on speed bumps and the oddest one is that the engine surges under light load in 6th (geartronic) when the accelerator is lightly pushed at 60-70mph.

Overall though I am impressed by it and the way it sips fuel compared to the S6 :-)

If anyone has anythought on the wee problems above then could you let me know please.

Ta,
Deano.

(Hurrah!)

Register your car with "myvolvo" online and then you can see what spec your car was as it left the factory and what options were fitted.

What does it say on the B Pillar label under "trim"?

I'd say that's a MY2012 SE. If you can find a MY2012 brochure that'll show you what was standard spec for the SE.

Congrats, that's a great colour and engine!

I'm curious, what are you averaging according to the car in terms of mpg?

I'm interested as it seems that volvo specified and real world mpg is always vastly different.

You do not have ABLs on that vehicle.

No problem, glad to help.

There are some very helpful forum members here. My experience over the last 5 years or so is that members who can help will invariably do so. I hope you enjoy your car and become a regular contributor to the forum.

Cheers for letting me know. It is odd the dash light for it comes on though.
