Default indeed...

There are some discrepancies that I know from my research.
It has had an engine swap.
Virgos from a GLT or optional extra?
Body is legit late model 1981, however that does not match that 79/80 V plate reg. (Cherished transfer)?

Anyone seen this car around?

PS lend me 6k. lol

Copy of the words from the advert :

Volvo 262c 1980 with a difference, on 240 running gear, B230 fully reconditioned engine, 5 speed with new clutch, 240 front end with large headlights , all new suspension and brakes, refurb wheels and new tyres x5 ,new sports exhaust, full respray, padded roof removed and sprayed satin black, much more.

What that all says to me is originally a 262C with the proper vinyl roof and B27 engine with autobox and it blew the engine and was laid up. Meanwhile the roof rusted underneath the vinyl then they had a 1983 240 with a good B23 and manual box so they swapped the oily bits, removed the vinyl from the roof, patched and bodged it and resprayed it Satin Black and eventually put it in for an MoT last August. How legitimate that MoT was we may never know as it's outside ths statutory period when it can be taken back and/or appealed to VoSA.

All that says to me instead of lending you £6k to buy it, the best favour anyone could do you is NOT lend you anything towards buying it!

Sure it's nice looking and i may be wrong but this cynical old git is keeping his money where it will do more good! Feeding my wallet moths.......

Actually, I rather like that. I’d want to see before, during and after photo’s of the work done on the body.

I believe it's done on quantity of posts, some other members may know the exact figures and/or where to find a list (if such a thing exists) detailing m-n posts = Junior, n-o = senior, o-p = master or whatever.
