Default !966 122s gearbox oil leak

every time I take the car out for a spin, the next morning there is a pool of oil under the gearbox/overdrive unit. it appears to be dripping down the speedometer cable out of the wire coil round it. i have removed the cable from he box and made a rubber washer to fit inside the screw bit but this hasnt improved it. Is this a known problem and will a new cable fix it? I noticed that when I removed it, no oil came out of the hole so presumably its below the oil level and must be splashed oil when in use that gets into the cable.

Do you have the proper "top hat" seal fitted in GBox/cable? http://www.vp-autoparts.com/main.asp...e&artno=380192

There was only the screwed connector with no seal inside so I adapted a grommet to fit in there. Is there a special seal and can I get one?

Sorry. Didn't see your attachment to part required. Not sure where it will fit but will get one.
