Default M66 awd d5 - removal of intake resonator

For a non awd car, it appears easy, but for the awd version, I can't see a way of removing the intake resonator from underneath the vehicle.

Does anyone know how to get at the 2x jubilee clips that attach to the turbo and resonator? They're almost visible, but I cannot see the jubilee clip heads to unscrew.

Giving it a staring at - either the heat shield from above needs to be removed or I need to go in blind!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, I do, I'll check it in the morning and look. Some of vida's instruction is a bit long winded. I just wonder if others had found a shortcut before I checked the official way.

Praying it doesn't say remove engine!

As suspected
"loosen propshaft"
"Remove bevel gear"

Incredible... Plus Vida's resonator looks nothing like mine!

Question, what is it, what does it do, and why do you need to remove it ?

I've got a little oil seepage from somewhere, either its normal, or a split seal that I need to investigate. So naturally - dismantling required.

Looking, I might be able to get at it with the wheel off. Lots of 1/4" extensions and wobbly bits.

Where are you seeing this oil seepage?

I'm not sure if it's the top of the resonator or the bottom of the turbocharger.

Noticed it after dousing the underside of the car with brake kleen after an oil change.

Nothing serious, but I'd like to keep an eye on any potential leaks.

Mine has oil residue at the top of the air intake pipe, near the timing belt area. I thought it was due to that classic oil leak from the loose fitting heater, so I did the VolvoSweeden fix and no more oil leak bellow the heater, but I'm still getting oil residue at the top of the pipe. At the moment I'm thinking it could be residual oil that had accumulated within the engine cover sound proofing material, but maybe it's something else...
