Default Differences.

Hi all, anybody know the difference in speed and economy between the 1.6 T4 and 2.0 T4 petrol cars please?

I've not driven the newer T4 but own the 1.6 version - if you're mainly around town expect around 28mpg per tank or a mix of roads up to 35mpg. It's much happier on long motorway runs where you can see mid-40s. This engine needs revving hard where it pulls ok but being honest I don't think the high revs and the engine note are suited to the car. The official 0-60 of the 1.6T is 8.3 seconds and top speed 140mph.

I've driven the 2.0 T3 in a V40 and thought that felt quicker and more drivable due to the torque available at lower RPMs. I was doing mid 30s mpg on rural roads
