Radio is a lot louder I know that

I think with my car only having the one pump ( in tank ) if it goes you are up the creek without a fuel pump

Nah, you can just hear it better!

I know the throttle response is much better all round on mine since renewing the in-tank pump, the under-body pump is quieter and more consistent in whatever noise it does make - usually a contented hum.

With only the one, you'd definitely be up the creek without a paddle if it went, on mine if the in-tank pump goes (like it had) then it'll still run on the under-body one as long as the flow between tank and pump isn't interrupted for any reason but if the under-body one goes on mine, i'm snookered as that provides the injection pressure needed to drive. I could probably manage to drive somewhere on a very light throttle but nothing more.

New, more efficient pump Mark - more consistent, higher pressure delivery so the engine can take what it needs and send the rest back to the tank. You may even find it's more economical as it won't be working harder with the (reduced) amount of fuel it was being fed.

Default shiny stuff

Got my struts back from the powder coating place today and I think they look pretty good

Should've taken a better before shot but they were in a pretty grotty state

Once I get the new strut top mounts, washers and other bits and pieces I will be ready to build them up with the new shocks and springs. I've pretty much decided to go standard springs along with the new B4 shocks as I'm trying to keep the car standard.

Very nice Mark!

Just need a couple of bulbs, flex, lampholders and shades and you've got a couple of funky steam-punk table lamps!

Nice to see them looking shiny and bright instead of briny and.........

You could be onto something there Dave I'll be giving Drew Pritchard a bell to see if he wants to convert my old ones when I take them off

One question about the bottom of the struts where the ball joints bolt on. In the parts catalogue it shows a seat that the ball joint fits into and I'm wondering if that is circular thingy you can see in the bottom of my refurbed struts ?

Not heard of Drew Pritchard (i'm guessing a BBC version of Henry Cole on C4?) but things like that go for stupid money for some reason.

As far as i can see from your pics, yes, that's the seat for the ball joints. I was looking at mine from a strange angle when i did them so can't be more specific.

Default Leather seats

Gave my leather seats a deep clean and treatment today. Hopefully this will be my last interior swap !

They have cleaned up really well and once I get the fronts back from the trimmers they should be ready to go in
