How is engine temp determined?
Does anyone know how the ECM/CEM determines the temperature of the 2.0D PSA engine? Is this done only by reading the coolant temp sensor or does it have a dedicated oil temperature sensor as well?
I'm asking because my on-going issues with high fuel consumption seems to be somewhat related to the temperature of the engine, when cold it behaves (sort of) and when it's near/at operating temp, it will suck diesel as if it is an old locomotive. I've ordered a new DPF but I don't want to install it until I've exhausted all other possibilities first. Thanks. |
