Weird and unexplainable issues
Hello,
I drive a volvo s60 diesel, 2.4, 120kW, 2003. My car was driving ok for about 2 years. A few weeks ago I left the car standing outside for a few days, I come back and the car won't start, I see "anti-skid service" error on the screen, the starter works, car cranks, but doesn't start. I plugged in diagnostics, it showed me CEM-1A62 no communication with ECM module error. As I don't know much about electronics, I towed the car to a repairman. A miracle happened, all the errors were gone and the car started and worked properly, the repairman plugged in diagnostics, but it didn't show any errors. So I drove back home, thinking it was the moist weather's fault, but after I come back few hours later, I get the same error. Maybe some wires are loose or corroded? Where and how do I check these wires? Couldn't find any solutions of the internet, besides changing the CEM module itself |

I would first, check the battery voltage, after the car has been left for a day or 2 without use, if the battery is pretty discharged and you crank tne engine youll see various error messages come up on the dash, things to do with brakes etc, but on a good battery you dont get this.. what voltage do you read, you can get to the pos side in the engine bay, also take a reading off the battery direct in the boot/trunk.
