Default Headlight Levelling Sensor Swap?, 2004 Xenon Lights,

Hi all,

The Leveling Sensor on my XC90 has seen better days, the slip joints have become very stiff. I intended to remove the sensor from the car and bathe it in oil. I drilled out the old rivets on the lower arm, started to remove the 11mm bolt that holds the whole setup onto the subframe, but that bolt jammed half way and twisted the mounting frame. It happens, so I ordered a 2nd hand unit which came with the mount. It's all in far better condition than what's on the car at present. I've found the headlights happy place as fas aim goes and zip tied it to the shock to prevent the lights aiming straight down as a temporary fix.

-----------

Before I remove the old sensor and attempt to butcher the two together, can I get away with swapping the whole thing? Or is this something that needs to be programmed to the car?

Many thanks
