Default factory radio aux-in hack for CR-708

i've a factory Volvo CR-708 cassette radio in my recently purchased 850
estate and am keen on the radio hack which simply hotwires an AUX-IN
plug to the obsolete cassette circuitry. the walkthrough describes what to
look for on a double din size unit.

does anybody know where the solder points may be on the single din CR-708? or whether i could avoid
opening the unit by using the unused 13 pin cd connector?

i do have a kenwood cd/radio which quite frankly doesnt suit the 850 dash, and feels somewhat
oldschool when i've 8gb of music sat on my phone - with the added advantage of the
phone pausing the music when an incoming call comes in, coupled with my visor mounted bluetooth
hands-free i'd be able to keep the original charm of the 850 dash with all the functionality of mp3
& bluetooth gadgetry.

one last question: does anybody have or know of a link for a pdf manual for the CR-708? im not entirely sure what all the buttons do. hehe ;(

id be interested to hear from anyone who's performed this hack regarding sound quality.

no way, they sound rotten & i've this thing sat in reserve if i cant get the hack to work, it does have an AUX-IN but id sooner hide it in the tray beneath the stereo than have it flapping in front of the gear stick.

dont like the tape whirring - drives my brain daft
