Question Rumblng rubbing noise and vibration

Hi, I have seemed to have developed a strange rubbing/rumbling noise appearing to come from the front wheels or front wheel. At first I thought it's the wheel bearings but there is no play in the wheels, I've jacked the car up and had a play around and the hubs appear solid. the rumbling/rubbing noise is noticeable at speeds over 25mph and as the car increases in speed the noise becomes very loud and the vibration can be felt lightly through the steering wheel and my front passenger gets a sensation liking to going over rumble strips. I have new tyres and new suspension all round professionally fitted. When I brake hard from motorway speeds my steering wheel vibrates heavily like there is a warped disc. Does any body else have this issue or has had it and cured it and can shed some light on it?
Any help is much appreciated.

bearings dont have to be loose to make a noise , mine did the vibrating thing but felt ok on the jack until i took the wheel off and turned the hub it had a few tight spots , changed bearing all ok , check tyres are not rubing on arches or arch liners are not loose or dragging/catching on tyre

Bent / buckled / misbalanced alloy?

first thing first get a dynamic zero balance

then if you haven't already, front lower wishbones powerflexed.

You had the alignment done ?

Hi, thank you for your replies so soon.

I've had four wheel alignment carried out after I had all four tyres changed, they should have been balanced too. I'll have to do further investigation with wheels off again at the weekend, I'm hoping it's a warped disc rather than bearings. The noise is hard to explain. I've checked if the wheels are rubbing any the arches and it appears all clear.

After further investigation, turns out it was the off side front wheel bearing. Thank you to Rapidvxr for pointing out that the wheel does not have to wiggle or have excessive play to be a failed wheel bearing.

As an add on note, I get my car regularly serviced at a Volvo dealership and they've not once replaced my air filter. I've had a rough running engine for months, had the injectors checked amongst other things checked and all came back ok. Changed my air filter and my S40 Diesel is now quieter, smoother running and no longer hesitates. A lesson hard learned.

Default Rumbling Noice

Hi, Our 2007 S40 has a rumbling noise in the front end. It is louder inside than out, and seems to happen when accelerating and climbing mountains. We have replaced both front CV Axels and the Wheel Mounts. I originally took it in for the wheel bearings, but was told those are ok. It still makes the noise. Also, my A/C has started blowing warm air...but only periodically, and when I turn it off for a few seconds it resets and blows cold again. Any suggestions?

Did changing the wheel bearing take care of the problem?
