RIP - Irv Gordon
Sad news about Volvo's greatest Ambassador. The following copied from the Yahoo 1800 forum.
From the Classic Volvo FB page: (posted by Kevin Price?) It is with deep sadness that l have to pass on to fellow Volvo Enthusiasts that l have been informed of the passing of Irv Gordon. He was a personal friend, a keen supporter of the Volvo Enthusiasts Club and a fine ambassador of Volvo and the 1800. He will be greatly missed by me and fellow Volvo Owners who came in contact with this great man. My condolences are sent to Irv's family on behave of all Volvo owners and Club Members in the UK. Below is a statement issued by Danielle Gordon, lrv's Daughter. I am posting today to let everyone know that my father Irv Gordon passed away today. If anyone can assist me with any information on his local attorney etc I would really appreciate it. He passed away during his trip to China. I am still waiting to hear from the consulate when I can bring him home and have services. Danielle Gordon |

Sad news, he and Sir Roger Moore were probably the best brand ambassadors that Volvo ever had for the 1800 model.
I remember meeting him at the Volvo event at Gaydon in 2002, a truly nice chap, RIP Irv Gordon. |
