  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

So... there is no sensor... not even a hole for it.

Strange... board computer, cabling... evrything there but not this sensor...

Is ist a big deal to drill a hole and thread? Seems to be aluminium. I'm not a mechanic...

Maybe the factory did not fit them on your market , or someone has fitted another engine at some point in the last 20 years , does the engine number match your documents ?

Argh... the baby got a new engine in 2002... Same model but yeah perhaps without that hole for the sensor.

The marked location in my picture is the right place, right? Still asking myself if I really want to risk oil leaking as result of DIY or if I leave it as it is... (So far the car has no problem, it's only me :-D)

Ahh that is the answer then , the oil temp sensor is very rare , I would not worry about it , the engine has an oil heat exchanger on the sump by the engine pulley ...
