So what's the verdict? Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

No not yet, I picked up the system from the courier depot on my way to France (not in my Volvo) and I get home tonight.

I did try to install the software on my laptop but the external USB disk drive couldn't read it.

My colleague tested the disk in his internal drive and he told me it tried to autorun some Volvo software.

Hopefully at the weekend I will get chance to get it installed and have a play.

Rest assured I will report back here when I have more news.

OK, so I finally got it working.

I emailed the seller a couple of times (installation instructions were virtually non-existant) and got an overnight response (from China obv.) overall a genuine and helpful seller which I would recommend if your after one of these.

All I need to do now is work out how to erase the DTCs which mine is showing.......

Also, the software is Windows Explorer based and was designed by a student in a 1 week work placement.

Yes, it was valued at $25 for customs purposes.

It turns out that you will have HUGE problems if you try and install the software on a PC with Skype installed.

This wasn't mentioned in any of the online installation guides I downloaded.

Yes, it is supplied on a disk version 2011A.

At the moment I can't see how to erase codes but it might be because I have installed on a Windows 7 laptop not XP SP3.
