Default Intercooler pipe

Hi All,
first post! I bought my 2011 (12MY) xc70 d5 awd about 2 months ago and all was well until the main aluminium intercooler pipe (the one that runs under the sump) split last week. Apparently this is a common known fault and there has been a superseded part consisting of 3 separate pipes, which apparently cost £550!!! Is there an aftermarket kit available? or are the parts available cheaper elsewhere?
I'm handy with spanners and welder so very happy to make my own up but if there's a reasonably priced kit that would save me time that would be good!
Apologies if this has been done to death I did do a search first but couldn't find anything
Ta

Blimey!
Can you post a pic of the failure? Maybe this is an easy thing to patch?

Hi not right now as it's at the garage having the fan bearings replaced 🙄
At that cost though I think I'll get the replacement hose for the resonator and then work out how to link that to whats left of the aluminium pipe...
I get the car back next saturday so will try and get some pics
