Clunking sound when turning right
Hi all.
I have a 440 GLT (L reg). Recently, whenever I turn right there is a rhythmic clunking sound from the front (possibly nearside) of the car. I'm told this could be a CV joint. Is this something I could replace myself? I must admit that I've occasianally changed brake pads, plugs, oil and filter but have little experience of doing anything else. Thanks everyone. Gwyn. |

Clunking
Without hearing the noise couldn't definately say it's CV Joint as it could be bearings. Although CV joints do clunk on full lock turns. Yes you can change this yourself and it's not hard just time consuming.
The only problem you may come across is actually seperating the CV joint from the shaft otherwise it's fairly straight forward |
