(Or leave the car for 14days or so, until it goes into battery save mode and starts switching components off...)

Stupid question - what impact does this have on things, presume all my settings etc in the car will be lost. Guess there is no harm in trying it?

Not in my case, but it didn’t resolve anything either.

The only resets required were to sync the tailgate closing with the auto retracting luggage cover, only because the boot was open during the disconnection (V90 battery is in the boot)

Dealer phoned to say that my vehicle connection module was at fault, its been reset and new software added, if it goes into fault again, it will need to be replaced, I suspect it will.

Interestingly, the App appears to have caught up with itself from Sunday. Although it hasn't updated since last night and is showing as "In Use" at the minute.

*** UPDATE ***

The V90 has been into the dealer today and the fault is rectified.

The job sheet states the following:

Found fault with internet connection, found technical journal regarding the mobile modem system, carried out total upgrade, tested and now working as intended.

I can confirm that it is working - RTTI back on, Spotify working, Volvo App working etc.

(It also had the urea injector removed and cleaned for adblue fault as per technical journal)

I am experiencing exactly the same symptoms on mine. On Car modem does not work, have VoC service required message and my application shows the car that is still in use. All happened when the recent android update tried to check from the application the car and then it got stuck.

Will try the battery reset method today
