are you using the volvo green gaskets? Is it the gasket or the rubber O ring at the top leaking?

Hello thanks for the reply

No, the color of my gaskets are black. So I guess itís not original. Yeah it leaks from the big o ring. I guess. it Itís hard to tell where it leaks. The whole back of the pump is soaked.

I would get the proper volvo gasket and 2 O rings . are you aware that you have to lever the pump upwards to compress the top rubber whilst you tighten the bolts ?

Be aware some of the cheap gaskets are the wrong shape and will never seal. They need to be mushroom shape to work.

If it has been leaking a long time the head could have corroded and need repair

Iím aware that I need to compress the pump while I tighten the bolts. Itís mushroom shaped gasket. Thereís no damage on the head or anything like that

When I first bought this car it had a leakage. I changed the pump and gasket it held for some months till it started leaking. I use the mushroom gasket and gasket cement or whatever itís called. Iím aware that it needs to be compressed while tightening bolts. But does it need to be compressed to tighten every single bolt?

you compress the pump up , nip up a top and bottom bolt to hold it then you can tighten the rest .

Thanks for your reply. Iíll let you know how it goes. But one more question. Does it needs to be compressed with sheer power?
