Default Parts query ..... Manual conversion

About to commence a manual conversion of my 1989 240 GLT estate. Auto gearbox totally knackered and the cost of a reconditioned unit, prohibitive.

Can anyone recommend a particular brand of 5 speed clutch kit, for the M47 trans which will be going in, as there are various kits available?
Same question regarding the clutch master cylinder and slave.
Thanks all.

I think Volvo uses SACHS clutches so you cant go wrong with that.

For master and slave cylinders I used second hand items because of the cost of a new one from Volvo.

Thanks, so assuming the cylinders looked/worked okay, did you put them straight in, or did you use a rebuild kit?

I could use the cylinders off the donor car, it's done about 150K.
Opinion seems to favour new units.
