Will this map update work ?

Hi

I've contacted this guy and he assures me these discs will work in my 2007 xc90.
I think I have the HDD system due to my car being a 2007.

Any opinions please ?

Also, do I need to leave the car running for a few hours while it updates or will the update start and stop as I car is driven on different journeys ?

It is likely that this will work in your car but it is a copy and not a genuine version.
I have found genuine ones on ebay for less than this; the last one I got was earlier this year and I paid £25 to a Volvo dealer for it, so it is worth waiting for a genuine one to be listed if you can - it also has the advantage that you can re-sell it in a year or two when you next update and still get a reasonable price.
Loading it will take up to 2 hours, but it is quite OK to stop and start the car in this time, so you can do it over several days if you want; the only bit that must not be interrupted is the last 10 or 15 minutes of the process when the new files are being written to the disc, but you get a warning on the screen to tell you when that is happening.
New updates normally come out around about week 20 each year, ie late May or early June.

I have ordered it, so I'll see if it works. The guy has a few other maps for sale too so hopefully he knows what he's doing.
