Default Reversing sensors - reverse light wire???

Hi Chaps, I've bought some reversing sensors off flea bay, already colour coded blue and literally the same as the colour of car . They ooze quality and cost only £18 and £6 p&p . I've got all the info to remove bumper and fit the sensors, but there's no mention regarding the colour of the reverse light wire to splice into. Any thoughts guys?

Suggest you simply remove back of light cluster ie: as if changing bulb put into reverse to identify bulb and colour of wire feeding it, Good luck Mike A

Default Those reversing sensors

Can you give any further info - possibly a link, or the seller ID - because blue sensors would be just what the doctor ordered - I don't want to repeat my little "reversing into one of those extremely hard and difficult to see posts" which has just made a nice mess of my rear quarter panel and bumper!

Hi Jeff, Please see Item number:320111222768 or gps-ppc. The sensors took 3 hours in total to fit, but that was taking my time making sure everything was to my satisfaction. The first day I looked at it I thought no chance and thought about getting a local body shop to fit them, then I downloaded a couple of guides from the Volvo forum and although the guides were slightly different to my S60 it was really easy to do! So instead of paying £200+ it was £23 and 3 hours, just like an OEM system!
Having problems uploading pics so I'll attach to my gallery soon!

This sound just the job. Could you also post the links to the guides you used and let us know if any specialist tools are needed. I'd imagine it is like most jobs, sounds a nightmare on paper but not too bad once you get into it.

Do a search for "Fitting rear ultrasonic sensors to S60" by Jodel on this forum, and I used the comprehensive OEM S60 Volvo guide found here: http://vccs.volvocars.se/accessories...asp?DocId=1888, which is a full pdf guide with diagrams. The kit I bought from Ebay had the hole saw, what I found is that the battery in the boot needs to be removed. Luckily I didn't need a radio code for the stereo, found out by calling Volvo and asking who searched on their database for free ! Other than that tonnes of patience,a decent wrench, torx bit and drill to remove rivets (replaced with self tappers). I'm still having problems not being able to upload my jpegs! It is very easy to do though, hole positions are already marked and the hole for wiring is big enough so you don't need to drill for a cable to run into the car! My advice is buy a kit and do it.

Pukka88,

Thanks for providing details of the sensor fitting. I got some off the same ebayer a week ago. Got off my ass today and got them fiited. Wasn't to hard to tackle either (even with my 8 year old son helping). As you said they certainly look factory fitted.
