Talking Ecu Upgrade

well after the hids scare, I took my car to Chip Tuning in Bromsgrove for an ecu upgrade from 250bhp Toooooo 310BHP. It took them about 4 hours to reprogram the ecu, install piper cross air filter, check it on the rollin road, and hand the car back to me. With sweaty palms I couldn't wait to find, a sort of clear road to bury the pedal in the carpet Well it was 2.45, raining hard, and I had to drive 32 miles to pick the kids up from school, I thought for a moment, and decided that if I didn't floor it, [due to the conitions] I would be ok. Pulled on to the motorway slip road doing about 50 in third, couldn't resist it, floored the bas****. it took off as if there was a police car behind me, traction control light reminded me of christmas, [thought it would be safer to leave this turned ON]. well I was impressed!!! the fun was back, couldn't stop smileing, can't wait for a dry day. I would recormend it to anybody thinking of having it done, well worth the £630 [and a day off work].

Volvo S60 2.3 T5, Leda suspension, winter pack, sports pack, Tv, phone, all the goodies. But the best thing is the power.

Buy the way. I didn't tell the wife I tuned the car. Hope she doesn't put her foot down. [but with the kids in the car, she shouln't]

My appertite is truley wet. Made a few enquiries, and for £2500 you can have the internals of a Audi S4 turbo, machined into your Volvo housing, a 3" race cat giving you about 380bhp,

I AM SAVING

She didn't say anything about the power increase, [Think she liked it] It was the money I spent on my baby!!! Looks like another silent wekend, I don't think flowers & chocs will do this time.

I didn't get a printout but the upgrade is rica. You can go to www.chiptuning.com & they have before & after graphs under enging tuning. but bhp = 310 N,m 430 the tuning remap will give you these outputs. Done a test yesterday, got my m8 to opperate the stop watch, 0-60 with traction control ON was 6.3 sec I tried it with traction control OFF & just stood there for about 2 seconds before the car decieded to move, loads of smoke. so let the traction control do it for you. I turn this off after the car is in second gear
I can only say due to the weight of the car, and being front wheel drive, you can only put so much power down. It is more noticable say 30mph up.

You have to run the car on min 98ron it depends how you drive but expect 5-10% better fuel ecconomy. with the extra power on tap
