Other 70 Problem: - Towbar problems

Got a new trailer tent which I know the electrics work OK. Towed 2 weeks ago and all lights OK.

Now only indicator lights and fog lights work - no brake, number plate or general rear lights. All the lights on the car are OK.

This also happened on another new trailer. Car lights all OK. Trailer lights Ok on another vehicle.

Anyone any suggestions? It is a detatchable towbar on a V70.

Hi,

Make sure the contacts in the socket in the car are clean. Plug and unplug the to refresh the contact.
Also check the rear of the socket to make sure all wires are secured and in place..

Check the cable run to make sure there are no snags and cuts and the fixing in the car is also secure.

Check each pin with a volt meter to make sure current is there and correct...
