Hi Clan

I saw the glass on ebay, said on description that it also fit the "R", they are from America, where I understand a whole lot more S60R,V70R were sold so hopefully they will fit. If you can put me straight on it I would be obliged as I don't want to waste £120 on glass replacements.

Insurance have wrote the car off and came back with a costing of over £6K, I am getting the car back tomorrow but I am pondering whether to sell the car complete for parts or risking spending a bomb to get it sorted. The thing that really gets me is that for the most part it is cosmetic stuff.

Anyone out there know someone who has a Bumper and Lights at a reasonable PRICE?

I'd also factor how much insurance price difference on a written off car will be into any calculations you're making about repairing it as written off cars can often cost a lot more to insure.

Seen what I think is your car on ebay - shame if it ends up being broken.

A couple of thoughts - questions really popped to mind which may be a cheaper way of returning it to the road whilst 'R' spec bits turn up.

I assume the radiator will be the same as the other petrol models, slam panel is generic - so should be easy to get running properly.

Would a standard none 'R' front end fit, I can't see why not but don't know the R specific model - just thinking there's hundreds of these in scrap yards.

The lights are the pain in the bum bit - can the lenses be changed, or can the car easily be modified to halogens?

Just thinking this way forward may give you a useable car, possibly with mismatched panels whilst the proper bits turn up.

Your bumper skin doesn't look too bad in the pictures, is it repairable?
