Air con Modded!!!
Was up at swauto's today doing a remap for a customer of theirs, and decided to get my aircon done while i was there. Ive had a few pm's asking if if have had it done yet, so in reply to them, yes its all done now. Had the system properly vac'ed and some nasty stuff removed from it which didnt look to good.
overall im well pleased, cant say if the leak sealers working as its only been a day. But i had some ""booster"" added as well and blimey it blows cold!!! much colder than when i had it done a year or so ago at a local aircon place. temp in the workshop was 26c and we measured the temp at the center vents at 3.8c. That was with my air mix at 50% so im not sure how that effects it. so as you can see that is extrememly cold. gonna have to run round with the aircon on for a while to get the leak sealer to do it thing, but im glad to have it done now summer is coming.

Would the air con "boost" work on an S40? Enquiring minds want to know (and how much does it cost no doubt.....)

Sounds great, although it probably would have done that without the "booster".
I'm surprised you didn't get it that cold when you had it done last year, but then maybe Stuart takes care to vac the system down properly and charge the correct amount of refrigerant back in, crucial in an O-tube system. |

Nice one Bobcat, or should I say "Coolcat" . Shame I'm not a little closer to Stuart's place, I wouldn't mind treating both mine to that booster. I'm sure it's available elsewhere, it's just I like to do all my work myself and this is not a job I can do. So I would rather take it to someone I can trust. Maybe if I am down that way sometime I'll get it done.
