Default V90 - Indicator problem?

I apologise if this question has been asked before, but I have been back over many pages but have not found any mention.

The problem perhaps is only a minor one but annoys me.
When indicating the audible 'click' has become erratic.
Reminiscent of Strictly Come Dancing, a few normal, then quick, then slow!
I am not sure whether the external indicators are erratic or not as my wife is not willing run behind or lean far enough out of the window.

Anyone else had a similar experience? (that is with the indicators, not the wife)

Yes, this is normal, if perhaps not quite right! Happens in our XC90 and S60.

It's like the car has got heart palpitations! You'd think they'd have sorted this software issue by now....

Its just the sound thats out of sync, not the lights, I think there is a delay processing things through the computers, like the first beep on the parking sensors.

Yes, my 2017 XC90 does this and always has done. It has been discussed on this forum previously, but sometime ago now.

Its a silly thing, but all my life car indicators have made a steady and consistent tick, until this one! So it annoys me every time!

Quite surprised this one hasn't been fettled.

Same problem here on my V60. My OCD needs a constant tick.

My Passat had the digital display, but they moved the indicators out of the display with normal LED lights. I guess this avoided the problem with the CPU not keeping up with the sound!

This was a "thing" on some of the early XC90's in 2015 a software was available to sort it some time later ... so it IS a known issue ...

Hmm, not sure about that, it would suggest that my car should no longer have the issue (being MY17 with several software updates). Maybe it has stopped and I've just not realised.

I'll listen out for it, maybe a software update has fixed and I didn't realise, but I'm sure it wasn't that long ago since I last experienced it. I've never actually picked it up with my dealer, but taken it as one of those things!!
