Default Squeek from engine

Ok i have had a squeak for a little while and today i found it, it's my alternator pulley!
Next Q is do they have a 'separate' pulley or do i need an alternator?

Seperate pulleys Druid you need to either take the alternator into the garage or buy youreself a key to undo the offending part I took mine off and into a garage they swapped the pulley over for beer money.

And btw it's a alternator clutch not a pulley as such, no need for a new alternator

GSF have them on stock ,about £38 if I remember correctly. There's a sealey kit which has the correct spline adaptor for about £16 on Amazon. If your doing yourself its left hand thread so bear this in mind.

All the above posts have some good info. Just one question: Do all engine variants have the same pulley or are they different depending on engine type.

If all engines do have the same OAP, then my last diesel came from the factory with an INA part - I sourced the same part for about £30 from eBay, local indy fitted it for free when doing my timing/aux belt.

It rises with the revs, also i did the WD40 test and that shuts it up.
