Been a long time since I had tyres wide enough to protect an alloy, I'm guessing 19" tyres are generally of such a low profile it's difficult to get them wide enough! Long gone are the days I'd park by letting my tyre touch a kerb and then straightening up, now I just live with 'kerb anxiety'!

Haha, we need parking sensors directly on the alloy to measure distance from the kerb. To be fair my Mum's Nissan Note has a handy camera under the N/S door mirror which points down so you can see how close the wheel is to the kerb.. She never uses it though ;'(

Haha! Oh FM you wouldn't believe the downgrades I've done before...

Haha. My Mum's one is 3 cylinder 1.2l supercharged, supposedly has about 100BHP but it feels so damn slow.. Might be to do with the eco settings, it's £0 tax.

Finally got round to doing the upgrade, went from 278mm to 320mm. Not noticed any difference yet as I'm still "bedding them in" through light use for the first 100 miles.

Interestingly I noticed the backing plates are the exact same size as the old ones and just fit in them, nice to have new ones nonetheless.
