Hello just seen an ad for FIXD OBD 11 reader that works with your mobile phone via OBD port. The site says that it is compatible with my 1996 T5 2.3l.
Question: has anybody tried this? was it successful/useful Did it read auto gearbox codes?
Is it worth it over using a flash code reader as described in earlier articles?

If you have Motronic 4.4 then these code readers combined with a good app like the "850 OBD-II" (or the included one in your example) will give you access to everything.

If you have Motronic 4.3 then the wireless OBD readers are as useless as every other OBD reader that isnt VOL-FCR.

Thank you their website said it would work with my car, but they obviously didn't know about 4.4 or 4.3, mine is a 4.3 so no good to me.
