T4 Turbo spec

hi folks,

just a quick question, i'm trying to find out what make/model/spec the turbocharger is on my 97MY T4,

i have been told it is a Garrett T4 model but i'm not sure this is right, can anyone shed any light.

The model is actually a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries TD04L-14T.

I am curious as to why you ask.... ;-)

i was just chatting with someone about the car and he thought it had a Garrett Turbo unit, same as ford Cosworths. just wanted to find out if it was true.

i can see how your mind was working though Dan unfortunately no turbo mods on the horizon!! but i have ordered a Sparco Strut brace this week ready for the new track day season:)

Ahh right! I think the turbo can probably move as much air as the Garrett, but it has a built in recirc and is ECU controlled with a relatively 'flimsy' wastegate spring compared to the Garrett.
I have the Volvo strut brace. £136 and perfect fit.
They definitely make a difference, I recommend them. ;-)
