Question on 850 Models????
Hi Guys
A friend rang me this evening to say he has caught the 850 bug and wants to buy one and sell his wrx,he has located a 96 850 the owner has told him it is not a T5 but it has a 2,300 cc engine with a turbo as far as i am aware the 850 was produced in the following engines: 1,996cc(2.0litre) non turbo glt , 2,319cc(2.3litre)turbo,T5,T5R,R AND T ,T being a low pressure Turbo? 2,500cc(2.5litre)non turbo Can anyone shed any light on any other models available or correct the ones above, is there a 2300 cc model with a turbo but not called a T5? RE: Question on 850 Models????
Hi Jason, the 850 T5 and R are 2.3, the low pressure T is 2.5 and is a different engine to the T5. There is no other British specification non-T5/R 2.3 850 as far as I know! Specifications have changed in name over the years GLT being an equipment/specification level, GLE being the highest (apart from the R!) 850 spec (this became CD with the V70/S70 - GLT became SE).
